Gay Faglie for Uvalde County Commissioner

Committed to Progress and Unity in Precinct 4

A Neighbor Who Loves Uvalde, Ready to Serve Precinct 4

Meet Gay Faglie

Born and raised in Uvalde, I have spent my life invested in the people and places that make this community home. As a retired business owner, I understand the challenges local families and small businesses face and bring a strong work ethic shaped by decades of real-world experience.

For many years, I have volunteered with animal rescue organizations and served as an active member and committee volunteer at Uvalde Methodist Church. My service is rooted in responsibility, compassion, and a deep love for Uvalde and the families who live here.

My Priorities for Precinct 4

Roads, Infrastructure & Essential Services
Well-maintained roads and reliable county services are the foundation of a strong community. From rural roads to county facilities, our infrastructure needs ongoing attention and practical planning—not quick fixes that do not last.

I will focus on improvements that serve residents across Uvalde County and make everyday life safer and more efficient, especially for families, school buses, farmers, and first responders who depend on these roads every day.

Supporting Small Businesses & Our Local Economy

Public Safety & Emergency Readiness
Keeping our community safe is one of the most important responsibilities of county government. I believe in supporting law enforcement, first responders, and emergency management with the resources, training, and coordination they need.

By planning ahead and staying prepared for emergencies, we protect lives, property, and the long-term stability of our community.

Animal Welfare & Community Responsibility
Caring for animals is both a public responsibility and a reflection of who we are as neighbors. I support humane, responsible approaches to animal services that protect public health while caring for animals in need.

This work improves quality of life across our community, from safer streets to healthier neighborhoods and more compassionate outcomes for stray and at-risk animals.

Responsible & Responsive County Government

County government should be accessible, transparent, and respectful of taxpayers. I believe in careful budgeting, asking hard questions, and listening to residents before decisions are made.

My goal is a county government that works for the people it serves—one that answers phone calls, responds to concerns, and keeps the public informed every step of the way.
